It all started around 1981 when The Candyman started to listen to The Podfather on Amsterdam Pirate Radio Decibel, long before The Candyman knew he was one day going to be The Candyman and long before The Podfather knew he was one day going to be the Master of the Podosphere. The Candyman even built an amplifier based on the HF transistor BF199 to get better Decibel reception. Alas, The Podfather, in a momentary lapse of reason, decided to join mainstream media, and so The Candyman abandoned The Podfather, moving into a dark world of drum 'n' bass, progressive and symphonic rock, new wave, punk rock, new age, and studying how to build a 20-channel optical demultiplexer using a blazed grating on a Rowland mirror and other stuff. In the mean time The Podfather had moved on to MTV, not mainstream, no, but unfortunately hosting Headbanger's Ball, mainstream commercial so-called Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, even further alienating The Candyman. Fast forward to the year 2000. One night, while preparing a tender for a EUR 1 billion nation-wide turn-key 3G project in Spain, The Candyman asked himself: "Whatever happened to The Podfather", and so he landed at The Podfather's Dutch Curry web site (now defunct, probably taken down by the TSA, because they couldn't understand a word of it, so it must have been subversive...). And thus The Candyman became entangled in the web spun by The Podfather. Unfortunately The Candyman does no longer remember his first ever download of the DailySourceCode, but he does remember he downloaded it manually using the web browser of his Nokia 9500 Communicator over WiFi, straight onto a 64 MB memory card! Then The Candyman became involved with the Nokia 770 and N800 Internet Tablet, as his career at Nokia Corp spiraled sideways. By that time he had figured out that The Podfather was not just a big-haired fag, oh no, he was a big-haired supergeek with pink glasses and an attitude! As The Podfather always spoke so highly of Nokia devices, The Candyman decided it was time to reveal himself to the world and send The Podfather an N800 for evaluation and podcasting application development (some people might say "a bribe"). The rest, as they say, is history. The Candyman is now an official member of The Podfather's Stable of Savants, and The Podfather is selling Nokia N810 Internet Tablets like there is no tomorrow. The Candyman has even made his first steps into the wonderful world of podcasting by teaming up with Comic Strip Blogger to form the Yo Agenda dream team, commenting Adam Curry's and JC Superstar Dvorak's No Agenda podcast.
